We hope to inspire your creativity with the projects we share here. We are home schoolers and love to be different, learn new things and have fun. We try to be as open minded as possible and when people say you should do something in a certain way, we ask why? Why should we follow suit? We are all unique and process things in different ways, so we should be free to express ourselves in our own way.

I hope this brings you creative joy and inspiration.

Crochet Action Man Jumper
Kameron really wanted some clothes for his Action Man but the only pattern I had at the time was a knitting pattern that came with the Action Man tent pattern. I didn’t know how to knit then and I couldn’t find any crochet patterns so (AGAIN!) I made it up myself. I made it in the typical Action Man Black and Orange colours and it fit his 12″ figures very well. Kameron was very pleased to finally start building a new collection of clothes for his Action Man.
We love Action Man that much that Kameron and Korey have a blog about the History of Action Man - http://actionmanonline.blogspot.co.uk/
Rather than working in the round, I worked the front and back separately, in rows, in UK Double Crochet/dc [US Single Crochet/sc]. Then I sewed the sides and shoulders together. I attached the yarn to the arm opening and worked in rounds, also in UK dc [US sc]. Then I worked the neck, sleeve cuffs and bottom in orange after.

James C. Brett Top Value DK (shade - Black 8430, Orange 8443).
1 x 100g (3.5oz/317yds/290m) ball.
Weight category: UK DK [US 3/Light Worsted/DK].
Tension/gauge: 22 stitches x 30 rows = 4″ (10cm) on size 4mm/UK 8 [US G/6] hook.
The crochet hook I used was a 4mm/UK 8 [US G/6].
I would give the James C. Brett Top Value DK yarn a 4 out of 5 for the following reasons:-
- It was extremely easy to work.
- There is a large choice of colours available;
- The feel of it is very soft once washed. Although, for large projects is does get very heavy.
- I think if you are looking for a quality budget yarn this is one of the best yarns on the market for price, colour choice, quality, multiple uses and quantity on a ball.
- The cost of yarn is very cost effective - I paid about £1.65 per 100g ball.
- Would I use this yarn again? YES, DEFINITELY.
I hope this brings you #creativejoyandinspiration.
