We hope to inspire your creativity with the projects we share here. We are home schoolers and love to be different, learn new things and have fun. We try to be as open minded as possible and when people say you should do something in a certain way, we ask why? Why should we follow suit? We are all unique and process things in different ways, so we should be free to express ourselves in our own way.

I wanted something to store our sewing needles in so they were safe and easily accessible. I had seen the needlepoint section in “Stitch by Stitch” by Jane Bull and was inspired to create something using the techniques shown. I am a massive fan of campervan related products because it reminds me of our beach holidays and I thought I would try to embroider one. I used some plastic aida that I had in my craft stash and various yarns. Along with this I used a fabric quart with campervans on, for the inside and ties.
I drew a campervan design on some square paper to give me something to follow. I also decided that I wanted it to be a heart shape. I managed to complete the whole thing within a few hours. I still use it now. It is very hard wearing and solid enough for the needles not to poke through.
This is definitely one of my sewing favourites.
I hope this brings you creative joy and inspires you to start your own thread-tastic journey.
